We’ve hired many digital marketers over the years, both outsourced and in-house. What we’ve found is that people who have sold successfully are much better marketers. They know how to engage with people and turn them into sales opportunities. While your digital marketers may not be closing deals directly, they need to know how to sell or they’ll be wasting your valuable marketing dollars without generating qualified lead opportunities for your sales team.

The best social media apps offer a range of solutions that can help you easily organize multiple accounts and share information across several social networks without ever needing to post anything separately to your accounts directly from the web. Although many of the features, layouts and intuitiveness differ across each app, they all get the job done when you choose the right one that matches your current social presence and marketing strategy.
Hi Kevan, this was awesome! and great!, in step one I think it would be helpful if you pick the audience you want to serve first and build your social media campaign around that audience. This will facilitate how you mange your timing as you said you don’t need to be everywhere, just where you target audience is, thanks this was insightful.
Facebook is one of the best and easiest social media networks. You can create a profile with a photo and brief information about yourself. Follow friends and check in on how their doing by writing a short status on their wall or sending a message. Find an article or video you like and post it so anyone that follows you can watch and comment. If you have a business, you can create a page describing what you do and share it with people you know. When they like what they see, they will send it along to other people.

Diffusion of ideas and innovations studies focus on the spread and use of ideas from one actor to another or one culture and another. This line of research seeks to explain why some become “early adopters” of ideas and innovations, and links social network structure with facilitating or impeding the spread of an innovation.

Traditional advertising techniques include print and television advertising. The Internet has already overtaken television as the largest advertising market. Web sites often include the banner or pop-up ads. Social networking sites don’t always have ads. In exchange, products have entire pages and are able to interact with users. Television commercials often end with a spokesperson asking viewers to check out the product website for more information. While briefly popular, print ads included QR codes on them. These QR codes can be scanned by cell phones and computers, sending viewers to the product website. Advertising is beginning to viewers from the traditional outlets to the electronic ones.
But there is little doubt that millions of teens will use these apps more and more, and older demographics will eventually join them. There’s a good chance that will continue to be at the expense of Facebook.
For example, an e-commerce or travel business, being highly visual, can get a lot of value from a strong presence on Instagram or Pinterest. A business-to-business or marketing company might find more leverage in Twitter or Linkedin.
